‘Running Man’s’ Viewership Rating Increased During Byeon Woo Seok’s Latest Appearance

Byeon Woo Seok's effect is expanding as his latest guest appearance in "Running Man" helped the program amass a high viewership rating. 

'Running Man' Rating Jumps to 4% During Byeon Woo Seok's Guest Appearance

After almost two years, Byeon Woo Seok made his comeback in the longest-running Korean variety show, "Running Man." On May 12, the actor reunited with the mainstays namely, Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Seok Jin, Haha, Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, and Yang Se Chan. 

Thanks to his guest appearance, the program achieved a new high rating record. According to Nielsen Korea, "Running Man" garnered 4.4% viewership and almost soared to 6.3% and ranked first among entertainment programs in its time slot. 

According to the report, it has been about three months since "Running Man" recorded a viewership rating of 4% since its broadcast on February 4.

On the "Running Man" episode aired on May 12, it was previously announced that actor Byeon Woo Seok, who is greatly loved through the popular series "Lovely Runner," appeared. He tried out a situational drama wearing his school uniform and acted as Sun Jae.

"Running Man" members expressed their anticipation about meeting the heartthrob. Yoo Jae Suk was happy to see the rising actor back on their program. Haha, on the other hand, rushed and carried Byeon Woo Seok on his back. 

In the middle of their segment, Haha, who was sitting next to the "Record of Youth" actor looked after him affectionately and even took a selfie. 

During the next segment, Byeon Woo Seok failed to succeed in guessing the price of the food that the members were eating. Yoo Jae Suk's playful nature was depicted and hunted for food. The model-actor joined and participated in the hunt, making the viewers entertained with his humor.

The members were impressed by Byeon Woo Seok's visuals. Yoo Jae Suk, who was staring at the back of the young star, praised him and said that the heartthrob looked handsome just by looking at the back of his head. 

As the challenge continued, Byeon Woo Seok, who was teammates with Yoo Jae Suk and Haha, won the game. Before leaving, he expressed his gratitude towards the members and staff for inviting him again. He also said that he enjoyed and had fun being in the show.
