‘Running Man’ Members Want Song Joong Ki Back in the Show: ‘He Needs to Come’

Comedian and host Yoo Jae Suk expressed his and the "Running Man" members' desire to bring back Song Joong Ki in the show.

'Running Man' Episode 700: Members Answer Questions From Viewers

In "Running Man" episode 700 which aired on April 14, the mainstays Yoo Jae Suk, Ji Suk Jin, Kim Jong Kook, Song Ji Hyo, HaHa, and Yang Se Chan gathered to answer all the questions asked by the viewers. 

Since it was a special episode commemorating the show's longevity, the members felt nostalgic and reminisced about some of the hilarious and best moments they had in the program.

One of the viewers asked, "When did the rental member system begin?" to which Yoo Jae Suk replied, "Actually, we have already started it. It is just that no one has utilized it yet."

The audience then recommended different 'rental members' including Jo Se Ho, Kang Ha Na, Shin Ye Eun, and Joo Hyun Young. They are some of the celebrities who already made appearances in the show and received positive feedback from the viewers for their skills in entertainment. 

Yoo Jae Suk & Kim Jong Kook Express Their Desire To Invite Song Joong Ki in 'Running Man'

Apart from the mentioned names above, one viewer recommended Song Joong Ki, who was an original member of "Running Man" before. 

After seeing his name, the members responded and shared their desire to invite the actor to appear again in "Running Man."

Yoo Jae Suk said, "Song Joong Ki really needs to come once!" and added, "But Joong Ki has become such a big star." 

Kim Joong Kook chimed in and remained hopeful for the "Vincenzo" star's possible appearance, "Still, Song Joong Ki has loyalty."

Yoo Jae Suk then emphasized that the rental member spot for Song Joong Ki is always open, saying, "Come out once!."

To recall, before he rose to stardom, Song Joong Ki was part of the "Running Man" team from 2010 to 2011. The "Reborn Rich" star appeared in episodes 1 to 41 as a member and a guest in episode 66.

He also made surprise appearances in other episodes such as 71, 97, 251, and 283. 

However, since he started doing dramas, movies, and other big projects, Song Joong Ki has taken a break from appearing in entertainment shows.
