On July 1, multiple South Korean media outlets reported that Hyeri and Wootae had allegedly been dating for over a year.

The two are said to have met during the filming of the movie Victory, in which Hyeri starred, and Wootae served as a choreographer.

While Hyeri's agency stated they are "checking the facts," the news has spurred significant online interest.

Wootae, a member of the dance crew Ambitious Crew, is recognized in the K-pop world for his versatility and warmth.

Wootae, popular for his work on Mnet's Be Ambitious and Street Man Fighter, is a choreographer and trainer who teaches various genres, including hip-hop, krumping, house, and breaking.

His choreography résumé includes performances for some of K-pop's biggest stars, such as BoA's "Game," Super Junior's "HEADS UP," Baekhyun's "Candy," Kai's "Vanilla," and Kangta's "Eyes on You."

Fans have been particularly drawn to Wootae's mentoring style. On reality shows, he gained the nickname "Oh Eun-young of dance," a reference to the beloved child psychiatrist known for her empathetic communication style.

Contestants frequently praised his calm demeanor and genuine encouragement.

"Wootae really listens. He's the kind of mentor who makes you feel safe to grow," one former trainee said during Street Man Fighter.

Fluent in Chinese after spending five years of his youth in Shanghai, Wootae originally trained as a football player before an injury shifted his path toward dance.

He reportedly began dancing at the age of 21, inspired by a desire to surpass a friend who aspired to become an idol.

He also held a teaching position at Kookmin University's Continuing Education Program in practical dance, although he later stepped down due to scheduling conflicts.

It has not been confirmed that the two are dating, but public interest in the new couple has been piqued.

Fans have admired him not just professionally but for his enduring strength and sincerity.

"Regardless of the rumors, it's clear Wootae's journey is one of hard work and humility," a netizen wrote on a popular fan forum.

Neither Hyeri nor Wootae has directly addressed the relationship reports, but both continue to be active in their respective careers.

Hyeri recently wrapped filming for Victory and is reportedly considering several drama offers.
