SBS has announced the premiere date for its upcoming crime thriller Queen Mantis, featuring Go Hyun Jung and Jang Dong Yoon. The series will debut on September 5, 2025.

Queen Mantis revolves around the complicated relationship between a notorious serial killer and her estranged son.
Go Hyun Jung plays Jung Yi Shin, known as "The Mantis," a convicted murderer serving time in prison.
When a copycat killer starts imitating her brutal crimes, Jung Yi Shin must collaborate with her son, Cha Su Yeol, portrayed by Jang Dong Yoon, a detective who has felt deep resentment towards her his entire life.
The production team recently shared stills from the drama's first script reading session. Director Byun Young Joo, screenwriter Lee Young Jong, and the main cast were present.

Jo Sung Ha joins the cast as Choi Jung Ho, the head of the Violent Crime Investigation Unit at the South Jeolla Provincial Police Agency. Lee El plays Kim Na Hui, a senior investigator and colleague to Cha Su Yeol.
The drama promises a captivating blend of psychological suspense and emotional depth as mother and son deal with their fractured relationship while pursuing a killer who threatens to reopen old wounds.
SBS has not yet confirmed global streaming distribution for Queen Mantis, but interest in international licensing is expected to grow after the premiere.
Queen Mantis airs on September 5 on SBS.
