Per Koreaboo, the streaming platform dropped new pictures on Nov. 13, 2025 (KST), giving fans a very first close-up of what has become one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.

The drama stars Suzy as Song Jeong Hwa, the enigmatic owner of Nammun Hotel. Early stills of her sporting a black bob and pale complexion quickly wowed fans familiar with the original webtoon.

Fans drove the positive reception home. "Oh, Suzy did a phenomenal job recreating the original character... Just Suzy, though."

Sports Seoul, on the other hand, reported that the reaction to Kim Seon Ho's still cut has been far less warm. Following the initial announcement of his casting, it seems his return to the screen has rebooted debate surrounding his 2021 scandal, with some viewers showing reservations about supporting the project.

In online discussions, one viewer's reaction was prefaced with the neutral introduction: "For sure, having him as the male lead is going to make this a no-go for a lot of people."

Additional comments came to light in the ongoing discussion, including those left on theqoo, where the first-look photos went viral. One fan commented, "For sure, having him as the male lead is going to make this a no-go for a lot of people."

Other reactions included, "I f*cking hate the male lead... Why did this have to happen to Suzy? Damn it." Others chimed in, "I just want to watch Suzy and Suzy only," and "Suzy's perfect. I just wish the male lead were someone else." Some fans added, "Suzy is great, but I wish another man had played the leading role."

"Portraits of Delusion" brings Suzy and Kim Seon Ho together for the second time after Start-Up four years ago. The series will be in the process of production and is expected to release exclusively on Disney+ worldwide in the latter half of 2026.
