According to Koreaboo's summary of Dispatch's findings, the exposé said Jo Jin Woong, born Jo Won Joon, kept his real identity under wraps and even changed his background details as he entered acting. Prior to revealing the wording of the outlet.

Dispatch claimed, "not a lot is known about the high school years of the actor... And this is all because he changed his name and concealed his real birthday, covering up his Seoul background while working off of his 'Busan native' image."

Dispatch further reported that Jo's teenage misbehavior extended far beyond minor incidents. According to the report, "They stole cars left running on the street, committed various crimes while driving without licenses, and were caught using stolen goods."

The exposé also reported he faced charges under "special robbery and rape," which, today, are called aggravated robbery and sexual assault.

News coverage from Koreaboo pointed out that Dispatch even released a photo of the actor in his youth, adding credibility to the accusation. According to their investigation, Jo Jin Woong spent part of his third year of high school in a juvenile facility.

A source explained, "His gang tried sexual assault using the stolen vehicles. Jo Jin Woong and others were sent to a juvenile facility, and he spent a hefty part of his third year of high school there."

Dispatch also described incidents allegedly taking place in his early adulthood. Their report states that Jo continued to have legal trouble even after entering the entertainment industry. The source told Dispatch, "He got caught drunk driving and lost his license."

Reportedly, Jo Jin Woong started using his father's name professionally from the time he debuted in "Once Upon A Time In High School." Despite revealing to the public on various occasions that the change marked a new beginning, sources that were interviewed by Dispatch speculate otherwise.

A source asked, "After committing such crimes, how could he continue using the name Jo Won Jun?"

Neither Jo Jin Woong nor his agency has publicly responded to the allegations as of publication.
