In the K-Drama "Love Me," members of the girl group TWICE, specifically Dahyun, played the role of Hye On, a character whom the audience saw maintain a strong relationship with the female lead, Jun Seo, played by Lee Si Woo.

They had a relationship that emanated from a historical bond of 20 years, which required a relaxed platform rather than a traditional love dynamic, as one might expect.
Recently, in the course of an interview, Lee Si Woo opened up about the building of this dynamic from the early days of filming the scenes in which they had to portray this relationship.

Before sharing his remarks, Lee Si Woo emphasized that his focus was on portraying the characters authentically rather than leaning on their real-life images. "Hye On and Jun Seo are childhood friends of 20 years, so their relationship was different from a typical romance," he said.

"From the start of the drama, it was important that we felt comfortable with each other, and that was our main task." He added, "She suggested early on that we speak casually to each other, which helped us relax, and we were able to try new approaches in our acting."

Expanding on the subtle details of their performances, Lee Si Woo described how small actions were used to convey familiarity. Introducing his explanation, he pointed to everyday gestures shown on screen.

"Even in scenes where we're eating, we tried to show that comfort, like casually pulling out a tissue and tossing it to the other person, or naturally opening the fridge when we're visiting each other's homes," he said. "The name 'TWICE' is huge, of course, but since we met through Love Me, I didn't see her as an 'idol-turned-actor.' I saw her purely as the character."

According to Star News, Lee Si Woo also praised Dahyun's professionalism and willingness to take risks. Before quoting him directly, the interview highlighted his positive experience working alongside her.

"There were many moments that surprised me," he said. "Her eyes are especially expressive when she acts, and she didn't seem afraid of taking on challenges." He continued, "She came to set having prepared a variety of acting choices, which made filming even more enjoyable for me."

The comments echoed broader reactions to Dahyun's debut, with viewers noting her natural presence and emotional delivery. As reported by Koreaboo, Lee Si Woo summarized his experience by describing the collaboration as enjoyable and rewarding, underscoring the preparation Dahyun brought to the set.

"Love Me" wrapped up its 12-episode run with viewership ratings in the 1% range. Despite modest numbers, the series served as an important milestone for Dahyun, positioning her as a newcomer actress with potential for future roles.
