If your Valentine's Day plans include watching a k-drama, you may want to consider which k-drama character is the best catch on that romantic holiday.

In Korea, on Valentine's Day, it's usually the women who buy gifts for men and that gift is often chocolate. Here are the attributes of some current k-drama lead characters to help you decide which one you would buy chocolates for.

"You Who Came From The Stars": Do Min Joon, played by Kim Soo Hyun, can be secretive and occasionally hard to get along with. But he's also smart, attractive and does rush to rescue the woman he loves whenever she needs him. Also, if she's walking away, he can float her over for a kiss. Second lead Lee Hi Kyung, as played by Park Hae Jin, is a romantic too. He closed the amusement park for Chun Song Yi, played by Jun Ji Hyun, and he took her on a Ferris wheel ride to propose.

Do Min Joon obviously has some advantages but his days on earth are numbered.

"I Need Romance 3": Kim Soo Yeon's character Shin Joo Yeon has a crush on her boss, played by Namgung Min, but he is so unavailable and can occasionally be mean. Sung Joon has always liked her. He's prepared to do the dishes, walk her home when she's drunk, and he encourages her to express her feelings. He's young but promising. Wake up Shin Joo Yeon!

"Emergency Room Couple": Choi Jin Hyuk is hardly Dr. McDreamy in this romantic medical drama about a couple that divorces and then winds up working in the same emergency room. He already romanced Song Ji Hyo once and look where it got them. On the other hand Lee Pil Mo, playing the doctor the interns call "the devil," is a much better catch. He's sympathetic, compassionate and recognizes Song Ji Hyo's true worth.

But alas, he is a second lead and we know what happens to second leads. In "The Woman Who Still Wants to Marry," he could not steal Park Jin Hee away from Kim Bum.

"Empress Ki": This 50-episode drama places romance on a grand scale. Ha Ji Won as Seungnyang loved the King of Korea played by Joo Jin Mo, but he thought she died and married someone else. While she might have forgiven him for not fact checking, her desire for revenge has made her the consort of the Emperor who would give up his kingdom for her. One man would have made her queen. The other would give up his kingdom. Choices, choices?

So let us know which character makes your heart flutter. Which of these characters would you like to spend Valentine's Day with? Or do you prefer a character from a past drama? Say, Kim Tan in "The Heirs?" Let us know.
