The highly anticipated performance of Yuna Kim starts today at Sochi 2014.

She will be performing at the Short Program today (February 19) at about 12:24pm ET.

"Queen Yuna" will be competing against Russia's darling Julia Lipnitskaia (1:47pm ET) as well as other big names including Mao Asada (2:20pm ET), Ashley Wagner (2:00pm ET), Gracie Gold (1:05pm ET) and Polina Edmunds (11:28am ET).

Expectations are high in South Korea as it continues to struggle in Sochi.

According to USA Today, South Korea currently only has a total of four medals after its victory in the women's 3,000-meter short track relay on Tuesday.

Kim has endorsement deals for nearly everything in South Korea and is so popular that she needs bodyguards when leaving her childhood home to return to her training base in Toronto.

The young champion is also No. 6 on the Forbes list as one of the richest female athletes in the world, with an estimated annual earning of $14 million.

Needless to say, the pressure is on for the 23-year-old figure skater.

Despite the immense amount of stress she must be dealing with, Kim has said, "It means a lot for me to take part in these Olympics. Not that I have to win twice."

Rumor has been circulating the Yuna Kim's biggest competition this year will be 15-year-old Julia Lipnitskaia.

According to Toronto Star, Kim told reporters, "I heard a lot about Julia Lipnitskaia. She just debuted in the senior level, but this is my last Olympic Games. I think the experience is different for both of us. Every athlete tries their best. I don't want to mention anyone specifically before the Games."

For Kim's short program, she will be skating to "Send in the Clowns" with a program that is choreographed by Toronto's David Wilson.

Will South Korea turn its back on her if she doesn't sweep gold as expected?
