It has been recently revealed that "The Winter Soldier" AKA "Bucky Barnes" as played by Sebastian Stan has signed a nine picture deal for Marvel. Now what could this mean? Read on as we will reveal some probable MAJOR "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" spoilers.

Samuel L. Jackson made headlines when he signed a deal with Marvel Studios that would see him play the role of S.H.I.E.L.D. Director Nick Fury in nine different movies. For the time, Samuel L Jackson was the only one who had a deal like that but now Sebastian Stan is in that exclusive club as well.

Sebastian Stan, who plays the titular villain of the upcoming "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", has been taking part in press events all week in promotion of the new superhero blockbuster

In an interview with Newsarama, Sebastian Stan revealed that he has a long future ahead of him with Marvel Studios. Sebastian Stan said that he signed a nine picture deal when he was cast for "Captain America: The Winter Soldier", which means that after "The Winter Soldier" he will still be playing Bucky Barnes in seven more movies.

For people who are familiar with the "Captain America" comics might see where this is going. Bucky was originally introduced as Captain America's sidekick during the World War II and then was brought back to life as "The Winter Soldier" in 2005.

However Bucky Barnes' most memorable role was becoming the second "Captain America" after Steve Rogers died.

This could happen in the Marvel movies as well as evidenced by the fact that Chris Evans signed for six movies compared to Sebastian Stan's nine. It could mean that in Captain America 3 or in any future movie, Steve Rogers will die and The Winter Soldier will take his place as Captain America. They will revive Steve Rogers in the end though.

When asked about a potential future as Captain America himself, Sebastian Stan replied, "I don't know! They don't tell me anything. That's just the truth."

Audiences will be able to know more about The Winter Soldier's character's direction and forward moment after they see "Captain America: The Winter Soldier". The movie will feature Bucky Barnes not as Captain America's best friend, but instead an incredibly dangerous brainwashed assassin with a metal arm and seemingly endless drive towards completing his mission as The Winter Soldier.
