Earlier this month, we announced that there will be a Jurassic World casting call in Hawaii on March 16. The EBB Tide Productions said that they are on the lookout for new talents - women and men as well as children ages 10 to 15. They are also in search of military types as well as those who have different ethnicities including Europeans, Asians, African Americans, and Middle Easterners.

Many people wonder whatever happened to the Jurassic World casting call. Will a new star be born? Tom Hasslinger of The Garden Island was there not only to try his luck but also chat with other wannabe stars.

The fourth installment of the Jurassic Park will start filming this spring on the beautiful island of Kauai. And only 50 of the thousands of fans that auditioned last Sunday will get a chance to join the cast.

According to Hasslinger, the EBB asked everyone to sign a non-disclosure agreement. One casting call organizer said, "No Facebook, no Instagram, nothing." The organizer added, "If you want to work on this movie, take it seriously."

There was a long queue outside the Kauai Community College campus where the Jurassic World casting call was held. It even reached Puhi Road by the time that Hasslinger arrived in the vicinity.

A 30-year old fan said that he was trying out for the Tyrannosaurus Rex or Velociraptor role, before admitting he just came down to be a part of the excitement. He said, "That's the other reason, I'm a big fan of Jurassic Park. I wouldn't be here for anything else."

The dino movie fan exclaimed, "It'll be cool to say you were a part of it, even the line." He added, "It makes a story."

A 16-year old student, on the other hand, was forced by his dada to audition, but he wasn't expecting to land a role. The Kauai high school junior said, "I just thought it would be fun to do."

According to Hasslinger, the EBB people were very polite and they even tell people to smile and have fun. They even reminded them, "Be sure you wrote your phone number down clearly so we know how to get a hold of you."

Since those who passed the Jurassic World casting call have their lips sealed, I guess we will have to wait for the movie to come out on June 12 to find out if there will be new stars in the film.
