In the past few months Park Min Young was rumored to be starring in three different new dramas but only one of those rumors has led to an actual role.

First she was said to be acting in the medical drama "Doctor Stranger" with Lee Jong Suk. Next she was considering a role in "You're Surrounded" with co-stars Lee Seung Gi and Cha Seung Won. But now she has finally settled on a role in "Reformation," also called "A New Leaf."

In that drama, she will play Lee Ji Yoon, a poor girl who attended a less than glamorous law school and has now lucked into a position as an intern at a top law firm. She works as an assistant to the firm's top lawyer, Kim Suk Joo, played by Kim Myung Min. At first he does not care for her. But once he loses his memory due to a car accident, they grow closer. The accident, as unfortunate as it seemed, is giving him a chance to turn over a new lead.

It has been two years since Park Min Young's last drama role in "Dr. Jin." But it's not the first time that she has taken time off between roles. She was a breakout star after appearing in "High Kick" but then was not sure what to do next. Despite the praise it took her a while to make up her mind.

"While I am truly grateful for favorable reviews, I feel that I need to travel my path slowly and steadily," she said.

She followed that role with appearances in "I Am Sam," "Hometown Legends," and "Princess Ja Myung Go."

Again, despite the praise, she did not really yet consider herself an actress.

"There was a time when I didn't know much about acting and just did it for the fun of it," she said. "When I did the drama "Ja Myung Go," I started to learn about acting and then it ended."

In the next three years, she did five dramas, "Running Goo," "City Hunter," "Glory Jane," "Sungkyunkwan Scandal," and "Dr. Jin."

And then for two years, she considered several roles without finding the right one. "While waiting for a project I wanted to do, a year or two went by," she said.

Now she's back and preparing for her role as a legal intern.

"Reformation" will follow "Cunning Single Lady" in the middle of April.
