Five Singer-Actor Couples That Strike The Right Note

K-drama actors may be more likely to marry other actors and even occasionally muggles who don't work in show business. But some of the more successful couples around are k-drama actors who fell in love with k-pop idols.

While it can be difficult to balance two demanding schedules, it also makes sense that you would want to date someone who understands the pressure involved in being a public figure.

So, who falls into that actor-singer couple category? Check out these celebrity duos:

Lee Seung Gi starred in "Gu Family Book" with singer-turned actress Suzy Bae. Viewers thought their onscreen characters made the perfect couple. But the actor, who also sings, had a serious crush on singer-actress Yoona. The couple made it a memorable New Year's Eve last year by going public with their relationship. At the time she was starring in "Prime Minister and I," engaged in an onscreen romance with Lee Bum Soo.

Korean-American rapper and producer Tablo has had some cameo appearances in dramas. He even appeared in the American film, "August Rush." But he's mostly known as a performer in the hip-hop due Epik High. Five years ago he married actress Kang Hye Jung, who appeared in the dramas "Miss Ripley" and "Wedding Scheme" and the film "Wedding Palace." The couple has a daughter, Haru.

Rain is both a singer and an actor, having won the KBS Excellence in Acting award for his role in the k-drama "Full House." He has since appeared in two American films, "Speed Racer" and "Ninja Assassin," and now that he's finished his two-year military duty, will star in another Hollywood film "The Prince." So, he and girlfriend actress Kim Tae Hee can talk about the challenges they face on set. Kim Tae Hee was last seen in the drama "Jang Ok Jung." The couple has been dating for more than a year.

Seo Taiji, the iconic singer who appeared with Seo Taiji and the Boys, is no longer recording but he's been married to two actresses. His first wife Lee Ji Ah, only became an actress after they separated but his current wife Lee Eun Sang had not acted for a while before they married in 2013.

Singer Baek Ji Young has been successfully launching singles since 1999. Known as the "Queen of the OST" she has contributed to many successful drama soundtracks. Last summer she married the 10-year-young actor Jung Suk Won. The actor, who recently signed with C-JeS Entertainment, appeared in "Iris II." "Haeundae Lovers," "Rooftop Prince" and "Ojakgyo Brothers."
