On April 30, according to multiple sources in the entertainment industry, MBC has sent actress Lee Young Ae a formal request letter asking her stance on possibly filming the new MBC drama "Dae Jang Geum 2." Lee Young Ae sent back a letter saying she has not decided whether she would like to play a role or not yet. Actress Lee Young Ae recently shared her views on the possibility of starring for "Dae Jang Geum 2" in a recent interview with Chinese TV, where she said, "I have been very happy with the love Dae Jang Geum has received even up until now in China." She added, "Because Dae Jang Geum has received so much love, I have a lot of pressure to do well on the second season." In related news, "Dae Jang Geum" has been aired in 91 different countries, and MBC raised over 12 million dollars for the copyrights of the drama. Scriptwriter Kim Young Hyun, who is currently in charge of scripting "Dae Jang Geum 2," has expressed his concerns.
