MBLAQ's Lee Joon has been receiving attention for his stellar portrayal as a psychopath in the tvN drama "Gap Dong".

The idol-actor recently posed for "Vogue", and the photo shoot's gentle yet forlorn theme, including one photo where he was lying on a bed of lilies, was highly reminiscent of a scene in his drama.

He said, "This photo shoot is actually similar to one of the scenes where Ryu Tae Oh was committing an act of murder, and this time, it felt like I was the victim."

His character Ryu Tae Oh is a former psychiatric patient who became a barista after he was discharged. While intelligent, he is also considered to be dangerous because of his worshipful ways towards the murdered Gap Dong.

From his believable murderous expressions to being able to act on par with seniors in the industry, Lee Joon's acting in the drama was regarded highly by critics and fans alike, leading many to wonder where he drew his inspiration from.

When asked how he prepared for his role as a psychopath, he answered, "On YouTube, I looked up videos and interviews of mentally-ill patients."

Catch Lee Joon on "Gap Dong" every Fridays and Saturdays on tvN.
