Bond 24 [UPDATE]: Is Daniel Radcliffe Joining The Cast As Latest Bond Villain? Penelope Cruz Slated To Appear In The Movie As A Bond Girl?

New reports on the latest James Bond movie "Bond 24" reveal that Brit superstar Daniel Radcliffe is eyeing a role in the movie.

The actor who was made famous by the "Harry Potter" franchise however declared that he is more interested to play a villain rather than following Pierce Brosnan's and Daniel Craig's footsteps.

A source tells The Sun: "Daniel thinks he would be an excellent villain in the 'Bond' films. He loves the franchise but admires the villains as much as Bond."

"He feels he could appear as a modern bad guy, an evil mastermind who wants to take down MI5. And like the old Bond films, he hopes the role may be recurring."

Even if his intention of playing a bond villain will materialize or not, Daniel's fans can still watch him in the upcoming RomCom "What If" scheduled to hit theaters in UK in August.

Aside from Daniel, another star has also revealed her interest in playing the antagonist in a Bond movie.  In an interview last year, Dame Helen Mirren shared that she would also want to face off with 007 in the future.

"Bond 24" will be directed by Sam Mendes, the same director who directed "Skyfall." And while Daniel Craig will still be James Bond in the latest movie, rumors are starting to circulate that Oscar-winning actress Penelope Cruz has been considered to be a Bond girl.

The latest 007 movie will begin filming in November, and is slated for an October 2015 release date.
