Naughty Dog breaks its silence in Uncharted 4 news, revealing details on the PlayStation 4's installment.

Christophe Balestra and Evan Wells loosens up on details of the next Uncharted title, in a candid interview that's meant to tease fans until the June 9 E3 event. Most of the information released in the past weeks was speculated.

Balestra and Wells settle the score with insider information about Naughty Dog, how this affected development for Uncharted. There's a hint of a significant evolution in the gameplay, compared to the previous Uncharted titles.

The latest Uncharted 4 news is actually a tease, but Balestra and Wells ensure it's a standalone installment that's still faithful to the previous games' dynamics. They don't expect fans of the series to enjoy their latest offering, though.

"It's a stand-alone adventure like all of them are; we don't expect people to have played the past games to enjoy the current one. But you're going to get to experience Drake and his crew in a new way" (dualshockers.com).

Each installment in the Uncharted series is an evolution of the previous one, even with the departure of Amy Hennig, who played a major role in all of the installments.

"If you go from Uncharted 1 to 2 to 3, you can see there's definitely an evolution in the storytelling techniques and the gravity of the situations and the relationships that Drake's put in. The next Uncharted will continue that evolution."

In response to Uncharted 4 news that the gameplay is indicative of The Last of Us, Balestra and Wells maintain that it'll still be the Uncharted title fans of the game are familiar with.

Naughty Dog is a development team of 200 full-time employees, supplemented by 30 contractors. They are presently juggling between The Last of Us Remastered and the new Uncharted (gameinformer.com).

Official Uncharted 4 news is expected to be revealed next week at E3, with a playable demo to boot.
