The Man in the Horned Rimmed Glasses is back! Deadline reported Jack Coleman will be back as HRG in “Heroes Reborn.”

The show's official Twitter account posted a picture of the fan favorite Noah Bennet exciting the show's fanbase.

In the first “Heroes” series, Noah Bennet was the adoptive father of cheerleader Claire Bennet (Hayden Panettiere) who faced dangers because of her regenerative powers. He started out as a recurring cast member but soon became a regular character. His role as a father determined to do anything for his daughter's safety received much love from fans.

Coleman has been in a number of TV shows since Heroes, including “The Office,” and “Castle.” He also played Caroline's vampire-hating father in “The Vampire Diaries,” as well as Sally Langston's husband in “Scandal."

The Heroes Reborn plot is being kept under wraps but according to E Online, “Heroes” creator Tim Kring promised to keep similar elements from the original story. “Heroes” revolved around ordinary people discovering extraordinary powers.

In the new mini-series' launching last February, NBC's Entertainment President, Jennifer Salke hinted that “the show will be appropriately shrouded in secrecy, but we won’t rule out the possibility of some of the show’s original cast members popping back in.”

In an interview with Cosmopolitan however, Hayden Panettiere—Coleman's on-screen daughter—revealed that she has not been approached by NBC to reprise her superhero cheerleader role yet for the upcoming Heroes Reborn show. She also called the TV series “our show, our home, our family.”

She added, "I hope that they don't have somebody else playing our characters, that would be a little dagger in the heart. But, you never know. I wish them success in it, for sure."

Heroes was first aired in 2006 to a strong audience but ended in 2010 after only four seasons. NBC earlier released a 20-second teaser of the new “revitalized, re-energized and reborn” mini-series, piquing the interest of the show's fans. The 13-episode reboot is set to start airing summer of 2015.
