Nikon D800s Release Date Set As Specs And Features Allegedly Leaked Online! Is This Camera Suited For Photographers Or Cinematographers?

The Nikon D800s release date has been revealed and it is specs and features have been leaked online if the reports are to be believed.

According to the CineLens News Daily, the Nikon D800s is set to be officially announced on June 26, 2014 along with the Nikon D810 while the release date is going to be on March 2015.

CameraEgg has listed down the Nikon D800s specs and features but notes that Nikon could change the hardware come release date:

-32MP sensor

-No AA filter (same as D800E)

-Improved software to suppress moiré

-Expeed 4a imaging processor

-New higher resolution LCD screen

-sRAW

-Improved video capabilities

-4K video capture

-Same AF improvements like in the D4S

-Improved low light capabilities: one stop better ISO performance

-Built-in GPS

-No Built-in Wi-Fi

-Improved frame rate at 5 fps (6fps with the MB-D12)

CameraEgg also notes that the new camera will be lighter than Nikon D800/D800E, the price is expected to be higher than the D800E ($3,296.95) and that the Nikon D800s as well as the Nikon D810 would be made in Thailand.
