Hearing James Franco involved in another scandal isn’t surprising at all since the actor seems to be prone into attracting controversies such as flirting with an underage and posting nearly naked photos. His best friend Seth Rogen also had his share of controversies such as revealing his list of stoner buddies and bashing Justin Bieber.
The bromance between James Franco and Seth Rogen started in the comedy “Pineapple Express”. The two are now back in another film called “The Interview”, which is a story about an ambitious journalist and a television producer who were hired by the CIA to assassinate North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
The film may appear funny for most Americans, but this got James Franco in another scandal. He isn’t alone this time because Seth Rogen is also caught in this scandal since he is a co-producer and co-director of “The Interview”.
After the official trailer was released, the Centre for North Korea – U.S. Peace executive director gave his statement to The Telegraph regarding James Franco and Seth Rogen’s new film. Kim Myong-chol said, "There is a special irony in this storyline as it shows the desperation of the U.S. government and American society.”
The North Korean government official also said, "A film about the assassination of a foreign leader mirrors what the US has done in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, and Ukraine." He emphasized, "And let us not forget who killed President John F. Kennedy – Americans. In fact, President Obama should be careful in case the US military wants to kill him as well."
The Seth Rogen and James Franco scandal is worse this time because it is a whole nation against the comedy duo. However, knowing these two actors, they can easily handle any controversy. In fact, Seth Rogen Tweeted the latest news from The Guardian. He posted a photo of himself and James Franco and captioned it “Apparently Kim Jong Un plans on watching #TheInterview. I hope he likes it!!”
