"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 cast Simon Helberg and his wife Jocelyn Towne introduced their second child after managing to keep the birth secret for months. Meanwhile, CBS has announced the series' premiere date in fall.

"The Big Bang Theory" season 8 cast Simon Helberg confirmed the baby news to Us Weekly on Tuesday and his son is named Wilder Towne Helberg who was born on April 23. The comedian has another daughter, 2-year-old Adeline.

According to MailOnline, the 33-year-old actor guested on Reddit Q&A on June 12 when he wrote, "made two babies and two films in the last two years."

Meanwhile, "The Big Bang Theory" will start season 8 on September 22 at 8 p.m. of Mondays as CBS shifts is schedule for "Thursday Night Football." This will continue on until October 27 when the timeslot will be replaced by "2 Broke Girls."

That means "The Big Bang Theory" will go back to its regular Thursday lineup on October 30 at 8 p.m., Orlando Sentinel reported.

In the season 7 finale Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) has flown the coop after, in his mind, a series of unfortunate events.

Executive producer Steve Molaro dished out "Big Bang Theory" season 8 spoilers toBreathecast when he said that Sheldon leaving Cal Tech will lay down the groundwork for them to do something new.

"As of now, he is off riding the rails like a hobo," he said. "We thought it would be interesting to take an episode and sort of systematically chip away at Sheldon and break him down to the point where he just needed to leave to process everything.
