"Community" season 6 spoilers talk about "6 seasons and a movie" happening for real!

Fans of the comedy series have been speculating for a time now whether Abed's "six seasons and a movie" reference is happening. Good news is, it surely looks like it!

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Sony president of programming Zack Van Amburg shared:

"There's no way we're not making the movie now. I think once we make the movie, let's look up and decide how much more Community the world wants. We promised six seasons and a movie, how much more do you want?... I'd be lying if I told you that we have not had some very early and preliminary conversations that are very exciting about what a potential movie could be and who might direct it."

And while reports are leading to a "Community" movie, fans are more excited to see their favorite TV show on Yahoo Screen soon after getting axed by NBC following the fifth season finale.

New "Community" season 6 spoilers were revealed after Yahoo TV caught up with show creator Dan Harmon.

Harmon shared that filming has not started yet, and fans should probably expect new episodes by next year.

"Yeah cameras will be rolling on November 17, and we're going to start with writers September 8. So yeah, I don't know what Yahoo plans to do with what we deliver to them on what schedule - that's up to them - but it would seem to me that we will start to see a new season of Community sometime in the new year," he said.

When asked about changing the show format, Harmon had this to say, "I definitely want to sit down with the writers and talk to them about that first, but I don't consider it my job to make the show unrecognizable. I want it to feel enough like the Community that people love that they can think of it that way."
