Jimmy Kimmel really knows what fans want!

He reccently recreated a fan fiction scene with the reunited actresses of 'Friends.'

Now, he has treated Sheerios to a rare sight of Ed Sheeran as Annie.

The 'Don't' singer came on to the Jimmy Kimmel Live show as the orphan Annie, complete with the iconic red dress and red hair! He even dragged his pet dog Sandy (while riding a skateboard) on stage!

Sheeran as Annie was apparently Kimmel's response to NBC's plans of a live production of 'Peter Pan.'

"NBC announced recently they're planning a live televised production of the musical 'Peter Pan,' and what's interesting about that is Peter Pan will be played by the very talented Allison Williams who is a woman, she's on the HBO show 'Girls,'" Kimmel said on his show. "That's great, but tonight I have the honor of announcing that my network, ABC, has decided to top them."

He continued, "On November 3rd, we will be having a live production of the musical 'Annie,' and here tonight to give us a sneak preview, the actor who will be playing the lead role of little orphan Annie - Mr. Ed Sheeran!"

Ed Sheeran as Annie came on stage and started to sing the musical's iconic song, "Tomorrow."

Before he could go further than a note, however, the "Sing" hitmaker promptly stopped.

"I can't do this," he admitted before dragging stuffed Sandy off stage.

Sheeran may have given up on Annie but an actual movie remake of the classic musical will be coming to cinemas later this year. The Jay Z produced 'Beast Of Southern Wild' stars Quvenzhané Wallis as Annie and Jamie Foxx as Daddy Warbucks.

Sheeran, on the other hand, recently won the Best Male Video Award at the MTV Video Music Awards last August 24.
