'The Lego Movie 2' Plot And Release Date: Sequel To Feature Spider-Man? New Flick Slated For A May 2017 Premiere; 3rd Installment Of Hit Animated Film Coming In 2018?
News of "The Lego Movie 2" plot and release date are starting to spread online.
It was a given fact that 2014's "The Lego Movie" will have a sequel out by 2017. The new film is said to premiere on May 26, 2017.
While the date is 3 years away, news of potential cast members are already sparking fans' interest. One of the most talked about cast addition is Spider-Man's cameo appearance along with Batman and Wonder Woman. Fans await official news regarding the said rumor.
Cast members from the first film are expected to reprise their roles according to some "The Lego Movie 2" plot and release date rumors. If that were true, fans can see Chris Pratt, Liam Neeson, Will Ferrel, Elizabeth Bank, Morgan Freeman and Will Arnett in the planned sequel.
Apart from a sequel, Warner Bros has recently announced three more Lego movies happening soon. One of which is a spin-off entitled "Ninjago" which is slated for a September 23, 2016 release.
According to Movie Pilot, "Now, though, Warner Bros. have confirmed that there will be an additional two movies, set for Memorial Day 2018 and 2019."
"Which means double the on-screen Lego we were expecting."
Fans are already speculating that the 2018 Memorial Day flick will be the 3rd instalment in "The Lego Movie" franchise.
"The Lego Movie" was a hit among moviegoers when it debuted on the big screen earlier this year. Here's the official description of the movie according to Warner Bros:
