This "Sleepy Hollow" TV series update makes way for the apology of the show's PR team for the ill-timed scheduling of their "National Headless Day" Campaign, which fell on the day ISIS released the American Journalist's Beheading Video online.

According to the details Fox News released, the Public Relations group in charge of the show's promotions emailed journalists with a message declaring September 2 as "National Beheading Day." This move was part of their marketing tactics to create buzz for the DVD launching of the first season of the horror series.

Like a scene fit for a "Sleepy Hollow" TV series update, it reached the intended recipients' inboxes only several hours after the brutal incident that the al Qaeda group conducted (info courtesy of CNN News) made it to the headlines worldwide.

With circumstances occurring out of obvious coincidence, Think Jam, the PR team responsible for the promo, sent emails of apology after one hour, citing the unfortunate timing of their release.

As reported by the NY Daily News, the team's email stated their sincere apologies for the unfortunate timing of their promo. Fox News went on to feature how they detailed the unexpected coinciding of their promo schedule with that of the ISIS video's release.

According to them, the tragic incident involving journalist Steven Sotloff flooded the internet at the time they sent their emails. After expressing their condolences to the victim's family and their condemnation of the savage act, they said that they would not have pushed through with the alert if they had known about the video's intended release earlier.

The PR team knew from the start that there could be no worse timing done in bad taste than to release their campaign at the time the sickening news emerged. Fox News reported that Fox TV also sent out their apology.

The "Sleepy Hollow" TV series update features stories that revolve around the events taking place in the popular horror series, centered on the mystery behind a headless horseman.
