Red Snow: Red vs. Dead

Horror movies 2014 never let up with more scares of different genres bound to make audiences scream as Halloween draws near. For this set, two zombie flicks are all set to burst through the big screen, giving horror fanatics that unique squirm-in-your-seat type of thrill.

"Night of the Living Dead Origins 3D"

The cult-horror classic gets a more gut-wrenching reinvention - all thanks to modern 3D technology, thus making it one of the must-see zombie flicks for this set of horror movies 2014.  Its target release date is in October, as reported by Movies Of Hollywood. According to Movie Pilot, the Gorge Romero indie flick's remake will utilize CGI and stereoscopic 3D to heighten its cinematography through more vivid images.

But the visuals are not the only aspects of the reboot deserving of a better look. The storyline, which underwent some alterations, has given this version a very "modern" representation.

Gone is the farmhouse where the characters cooped up in Romero's original 1968 (IMDB) version. In its place now is an apartment at the heart of New York where the characters will be forced to bunk in during the onslaught.

"Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead"

As if dealing with the walking dead is not bad enough, they even had to be Nazis - and this is what sets this gorefest apart from other zombie flicks. The sequel to "Dead Snow," as reported by Movie Pilot, makes it to the horror movies 2014 list with a bloody continuation to the horrific encounter that started in the original franchise.

For this sequel, Martin, the sole survivor of the Nazi zombie rampage, gets back at the horde of military undead. He allies with a group of American zombie hunters in a quest to finally put Hitler's decaying but-still-unrelentingly-mean horde where they belong: six feet under the snow.

In the first movie released in 2009, the plot centralized on the gory consequences of stealing from the Nazis. For this follow-up, however, fans would be in for an epic battle that would pit the zombie Nazis' might with the undead WW2 Russian battalion. The snow turns red once more on October 10, 2014, reported Movie Moron
