Windows 9 Update: While Microsoft guarantees to improve desktop user experience on Windows 9, some sources leaked that the Metro UI will also be getting a major overhaul, as well as some other features to be included in the release.

The current Windows 9 builds that were delivered to partners this month didn’t come with such improvements. Insiders pointed out that such changes will become available to users until later this month

Apparently, the new Metro UI is not yet ready, while Microsoft is too busy redefining the desktop for the very first builds of Windows 9 since this is the most complained aspect of the operating system in the past two years.

Nevertheless, there are reasons to believe that improvements for the Modern UI would be introduced before the final version of the operating system comes out. In the meantime, the company is making sure to get the desktop more appealing to the users.

Since Microsoft hasn’t given any comments on Windows 9, the only information so far is still on the revamped Modern UI. Thus, a lots changes are yet to be made before the final operating system actually hits the shelves.

Moreover, it seems that Windows 9 will be bringing interactive live tiles on the Start screen, a feature that Microsoft Research presented earlier this year, enabling users to access specific features of the apps without actually launching them.

As far as charms are concerned, Microsoft still hasn’t decided to remove them since the company still trying out different implementation to see if they’re worth keeping them or not.

Consumers who will be installing Windows 9 on a PC, where a pointing device and a keyboard are essential, will directly see the desktop and get a Start menu, whereas those using a tablet will still boot to the Start screen and thus be provided with the revamped Metro UI.

The preview version of Windows 9 for ARM devices could be released in early 2015, more updates on the revamped Modern UI will be provided at that time.
