Han Ga In Suffered A Miscarriage
When Han Ga In and her husband actor Yun Jung Hoon learned that they were expecting their first child earlier this year, they were very excited. After being married for nine years they were eager to become parents. She wanted a boy and he wanted a girl. They both wanted a baby born in The Year of the Horse, which was his astrological sign.
Han Ga In was so happy to learn that she was pregnant that she decided not to act for the duration of her pregnancy and instead focus on prenatal care.
The couple did not intend to release the news of the pregnancy as early as they did but it somehow became public. However, shortly after they announced it, Han Ga In suffered a miscarriage.
It took a while before the family was ready to release the news of the miscarriage to the general public.
On Sept. 24, her agency, BH Entertainment finally released a statement about the miscarriage.
"A little after the happy news of Han Ga In′s pregnancy was shared early 2014, she unfortunately experienced great pain due to a natural miscarriage around May," said the BH Entertainment statement. "During the early stage of her pregnancy, a time when a mother must be the most careful, the news of her pregnancy was unwillingly revealed to the public, followed by a miscarriage a bit after. As it was a huge time of sorrow, the family members all needed time to heal."
After coming to terms with the loss, the couple decided it was time to share the unfortunate news. With the general public
"Han Ga In experienced a very sorrowful event, but found stability again with the help of her family members. Please continue to send her words of comfort and encouragement."
The couple met in 2003 when they both appeared in the KBS drama "Yellow Handkerchief." They dated for two years before marrying in April 2005. Both have continued to develop their acting careers. Since then Yun Jung Hoon has appeared in "Vampire Prosecutor," "Vampire Prosecutor 2" and "I Summon You Gold," as well as in the Chinese mini-drama "A Time of Love." He also appeared in the 2013 film "Good Friends." Han Ga In starred in the drama "The Moon Embracing the Sun" with co-star Kim Soo Hyun and had a leading role in the film "Architecture 101" with co-star Uhm Tae Woong.
