Shailene Woodley in "White Bird in a Blizzard" movie shows a daring and different side of herself, as she flaunts her sexiness via doing bed scenes.

The drama-thriller, which got an R rating according to Magnolia Pictures, had the 22-year old actress portraying a darker, more mature role compared to her characters in megahits "Divergent" and "The Fault in Our Stars," reported US Magazine.

Shailene Woodley in "White Bird in a Blizzard," as reported by the latter site, engaged in sex and was quite adventurous in handling her newly formed curves. In the film, whose setting was in the 80's, she and co-star Thomas Jane shared some sizzling moments together.

But the hot scenes were only icing on the cake compared to the emotional depth of her role in the film. According to Mag Pictures, Shailene Woodley in "White Bird in a Blizzard" plays the role of Kat Connors whose sexual coming of age coincided with the sudden disappearance of her beautiful, dedicated but mysterious mom, played by Eva Green.

The "Divergent" lead star talks throughout the trailer, as she is featured in the midst of a counseling session, discussing her experience. At first, she did not feel affected by her mom's disappearance. Having grown up in a household where emotions are downplayed all the time, her reaction was typical. As for her father who was dominated by her mom, the disappearance, although heartbreaking, was kind of liberating for him.

But her denial did not last long. Over time, she found herself overwhelmed by the desire to know what really happened to her mother. This led her to confront her feelings and unwitting decision to ignore the events surrounding the occurrence.

Gregg Araki takes the director's helm for this film based on Laura Kasischke's novel of the same title. Fans will get to see Shailene in a totally different light once the movie opens in theaters on October 24, 2014, reported Fandango.
