Actress Han Hyo Joo of film 'Always' gained the title of Hallyu (Korean Wave) Queen at a Japanese press conference.
On the 7th, Han Hyo Joo attended the press conference for the Japanese release of 'Always.' On this day, the most reporters for a Korean film gathered, recognizing the high popularity of 'Always.'
According to a media representative at the press conference, "For the while, fast and strong Korean films were released in Japan. It's been a long time since a pure melo love story premiered, which attracted Japanese media."
Adding on, "The film is also receiving much interest because of the main actors who are largely loved by Japanese fans. Han Hyo Joo is especially popular due to her drama 'Dong Yi,' which currently has the highest viewer rating in BS NHK. The premiere of 'Always' took place after the press conference, as 800 fans attended and cheered for the two actors.
'Always' is the sad love story of Chul Min (So Ji Sup), who was once a boxer, and Jung Hwa (Han Hyo Joo), who lost her dream and eyesight due to an accident. The two fatefully meet and experience the happiness and pain of love.
