Fans of KBS2's weekend drama "You Who Rolled In Unexpectedly" were treated to a pleasant and hilarious surprise when singer Sung Si Kyung made a special cameo on the latest episode, aired on June 10th.

The singer, usually known for his reserved personality and often called "the prince of ballad", appeared on the show as washed-up singer 'Sung Si Kang', who competes in the singer revival program "Restart". Going tit-for-tat in heated on-stage exchanges with Kim Won Joon's character Yoon Bin, Sung Si Kyung wins the 'who's worse' competition with outbursts such as "I live in a basement studio" and "I lost my girlfriend to my manager". His character's ambition for a revived career as an artist is cut short, however, as his character is disqualified in the competition, not having actually prepared a song.

Sung Si Kyung and Kim Won Joon showed good chemistry as they rehearsed the script together and filmed for over four hours for the episode, according to all accounts. Sung Si Kyung in particular displayed a rare humorous side, as he flawlessly delivered punchlines and performed hilarious movements without being awkward, earning applause from the cast and crew on hand.

Sung Si Kyung's appearance marks only the latest of cameos on a show that has claimed the top rating in South Korea for Saturday dramas with 30% viewing. As for Sung Si Kyung, the cameo is part of a series of transformations the artist has taken for his public image since returning from military duty, appearing on other shows including "Gag Concert". His changes have drawn positive reactions from audiences, with descriptions such as "gut-bustingly funny."
