'The Incredibles 2' Set To Premiere In 2019? Sequel Of 3D Animated Film Centered On Baby Jack-Jack; 'Cars 3' Also Confirmed By Disney

Sequels for various movies have been confirmed and one of them is "The Incredibles 2".

According to Independent.Co.Uk, Bob Iger, current Disney President, confirmed at the Disney Investor's Meeting that "The Incredibles 2" is in the works. The president also added that "Cars 3" is also in the movie pipeline which are scheduled to hit theaters. However, it gave a little away about the forthcoming Star Wars 7.

Brad Bird was the one who directed and wrote the double Oscar-winner "The Incredibles"  He will still be the director for the next installment and he is currently  writing the script for a follow-up to the 2004 film.

The 3D animated director was reported to had been hesitant about penning a sequel. As per Slashfilm report, he said at 2007 WonderCon: 

"Pixar does not look at sequels as a financial plan. We feel we have a relation ship with the audience and that they believe in each movie we put out. We believe completely in every movie we put out."

He adds, "If I can come up with a story that is as good or better than that first film, then I'd love to return to that world, but it would have to be story first."

According to movie rumors noted on LatinPost,  "The Incredibles 2" might center on Jack-Jack, the baby of the Parr family.

During the interview of Movies.com with Brad Bird, the director stated:

"I have some ideas and if I ever get it all together into a story that is at least as good as the one we did, I'd be happy to return to that world. I love working with Pixar."

The summary plot provided by Ideas.wikia.com reads,

"It has been 5 years since the events of the first film, and the world is at peacetime. This is almost entirely due to the resurgance of superheroes in the world, especially the greatest superhero duo Dash and Violet Parr. Bob and Helen fight crime from time to time, but dedicate most of their time to raising their son Jack-Jack. Jack-Jack is a 6 year old rebel. He has been trying to control his powers, he is an outcast at school because he still can't control his superpowers. His mother and father overprotect him for fear that another villain will come and kidnap him the way Syndrome did 5 years ago. Jack-Jack soon discovers that he can only control his powers when he is angry and villanous. A rising, unknown villain seen only in shadows has noticed this and takes Jack-Jack in as his apprentice. However, Jack-Jack's first task is to kill the Incredibles.
B-plotFrozone is given a mission by Rick Dicker to find and eliminate a new villain on the island previously occupied by Syndrome. This is standard procedure for super; but Frozone encounters a problem. Edna Mode must accompany him on his journey" 

Some publication, including Coming Soon, the upcoming 3D animated film migh be release within 2019.
