'Big' Lee Min Jung Rejects Gong Yoo's Proposal

Lee Min Jung turned down Gong Yoo's touching proposal in the latest episode of KBS 2TV's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Big'.

The episode, which aired on the 19th, depicted a Da Ran (played by Lee Min Jung) who pushes away Kyung Joon (played by Shin Won Ho) because she doesn't want to be reminded of Yoon Jae (played by Gong Yoo).

Despite Kyung Joon's insistence that he would marry Da Ran rather than Se Young (played by Jang Hee Jin), Da Ran continues to draw the line at a relationship. Kyung Joon then resorts to metaphorical wordplay, calling himself a bait and asking her to "bite me." Telling Da Ran that she is the only one in the world who knows him, he adds sincerely, "it's the sad kind of fishing that only looks for that one fish."

However, despite Kyung Joon's pleas to "bite" him, Da Ran refuses to change her mind. Saying that to others, her being with Kyung Joon will look like she is with Yoon Jae, she says "I want to help you by your side, but I don't want to see Yoon Jae again." Despite having settled her emotions, Da Ran is afraid that her feelings for Yoon Jae may spring up again.

Eventually Kyung Joon resigns himself to a break-up, telling her, "It's decided then. Let's never see each other again," and Da Ran also accepts this reality. Following last episode's brief separation, the two again pull apart; however, there is a new factor this time. Ma Ri (played by Bae Suzy), who has a crush on Kyung Joon, realizes through the scene that Kyung Joon's soul is inside Yoon Jae's body and becomes tearful, heightening curiosity regarding the development of the story.
