Hong Kong riots persisted in the former British colony!

The Mirror UK reported that violent encounters took place in Hong Kong's leading shopping districts, Kowloon's Mong Kok, between China supporters and 100 democracy advocates.

Hong Kong riots forced police to clash with protesters as violence encounters arise out of the refusal of CY Leung to step down as HK's chief executive.

Hong Kong riots have not died down despite Leung's offer to talk things out with Occupy Central protesters, The Mirror further reported. The protesters spitted and threw water bottles in the midst of China's refusal to relinquish to what the protesters were asking.

Most leaders of student pro-democracy groups intentions to talk things out vanished when pro-Beijing protesters caused chaos around the streets of Hong Kong.

Thousands of people caused a commotion around Hong Kong in the past couple of days to demand complete democracy and a free voting system that will generate a new chief executive in 2017, as reported by The Mirror UK.

The rain minimized the number of protesters on the streets. Additionally, Hong Kong's workers resumed work after a two-day holiday.

A few moments before the expiration of the ultimatum by midnight, Leung announced that chief secretary Carrie Lam would discuss political reforms with students. However, the chief executive did not confirm when the talks would take place.

The violent encounters are the biggest since Hong Kong's handover to China in 1997. Police used pepper spray, tear gas and baton charges to disperse the protesters on the streets.
