'The Chaser' Son Hyun Joo Finally Takes Aim at Kim Sang Joong, Only to Be Thwarted Again

'The Chaser' has reached a critical point, with Kang Dong Yoon staring down the barrel of Baek Hong Suk's gun.

In the episode of SBS Monday-Tuesday drama 'The Chaser' that aired on the 25th, Baek Hong Suk (played by Son Hyun Joo) discovers that Kang Dong Yoon (played by Kim Sang Joong) is set to visit his daughter's grave site. Kang Dong Yoon, on the other hand, planned the pilgrimage to the site as a publicity ploy to create a more sympathetic image for himself regarding the death of the girl.

Baek Hong Suk makes his way to the site with a loaded gun, with the plan to kill Kang Dong Yoon and then turn the gun on himself, tearfully telling his dead wife and daughter "I will join you soon."

Upon being confronted by Baek Hong Suk aiming his gun, Kang Dong Yoon calmly turns the tables around, confronting Baek Hong Suk instead by asking him, "Who hired you to do this?" and "Are you working with the New Party founders?"

Baek Hong Suk is struck speechless by the bold lies of Kang Dong Yoon, and in his hesitation is shot in the stomach by a bodyguard and crumples to the ground, leaving viewers wondering whether his once-again frustrated revenge will ever come to fruition.
