Kang Kyung Joon Joins The Cast Of ‘To The Beautiful You’

Actor Kang Kyung Joon will appear alongside Min Ho and Sulli as a coach for SBS's new Wednesday-Thursday drama 'To the Beautiful You.'

Kang Kyung Joon has been confirmed for the role of Byun Kwang Min for the upcoming drama 'To the Beautiful You,' premiering in August. In the drama, Kang Kyung Joon plays simple ignorant Byun Kwang Min, who is confident in athletics as a past high jumper.

To the point in which Byun Kwang Min's nickname is 'Rabies,' he harasses his students and is known as the school's villain. He is a coach who teaches military discipline to his students, however, transforms 180 degrees into a weak man in front of the language teacher So Jung (Lee Young Eun).

Kang Kyung Joon will reunite with writer Lee Young Chul for 'To the Beautiful You' after eight years since 'Nonstop 5.' For this role, Kang Kyung Joon transformed his appearance by cutting his long hair and dying it black for a manlier image. He is also exercising to live up to his character as an athletic coach.

According to a representative of his agency, "He said he would agree to the role without even reading the script himself. He was greedy after hearing that Lee Young Chul wrote the script."
