What makes the fully loaded, fairly priced Moto G better than iPhone 5s?

Motorola Moto G released last year, claims that it outperforms iPhone 5s display in screen size and resolution aspects. Here's a detailed comparison of their specs to help you determine which one is more suitable for you:

Display

Motorola equipped its device with a 4.5 inch IPS LCD display that has a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, 329 ppi. The mobile company may have lived up to its claims as Apple 5s' 4 inch display renders a lesser resolution of 640 x 1136, 326 ppi.

Camera

Apple reigns in this aspect with its 8 MP rear-facing camera with dual LED flash and autofocus, as compared to Moto G's 5 MP camera with LED flash and autofocus. However, there's a slight difference on their front-facing camera: Moto G has 1.3 MP while iPhone 5s has 1.2 MP.

Other features of Motorola includes burst mode, digital zoom, geo tagging, High Dynamic Range mode (HDR), and Panorama, which are also available in iPhone 5s only that the said Apple device also has Back-illuminated sensor, face detector, and digital image stabilization.

Hardware and Operating System

Moto G is powered by a processor called Cortex A7, which is a quad-core set at 1.2 GHz. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 system chip and 1 GB of RAM. There are two options for its built-in storage: 8GB and 16GB, but it doesn't have a microSD slot. The OS for this handset is the Android Jelly Bean, which is upgradable to the KitKat version.

iPhone 5s' hardware is not that far from Motorola as it also carries 1GB of RAM, only with multiple options for internal memory: 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. The memory is not expandable as well due to unavailability of microSD slot. The processor that runs the Apple device is a dual core (Cyclone) that works at 1.3 GHz, paired with Apple A7, 64-bit architecture chipset. iOS 7 runs this mobile phone.

Battery

If you're looking for a smartphone that can last for up to 24 hours of talking time, then Moto G is the right choice as it carries a Li-Ion 2070 mAh battery. This is significantly higher than iPhone 5S' Li-Po 1560 mAh unit that can only withstand approximately 10 hours of talking time.

Price

Motorola Moto G is perfect for those who are on a budget as the 16GB model only costs $199.99, which is way cheaper than iPhone 5S 16 GB variant priced at $499.99.
