This appointment as an ambassador for a major student film festival demonstrates Park So-dam's ongoing commitment to supporting new talent at a time when the Korean film industry is undergoing many changes. Additionally, the appointment signifies the importance of established artists mentoring and collaborating with the next generation of filmmakers.

This week, it was announced that Park would be the face of the 28th Korea National University of Arts Film Department Graduation Film Festival. Her role goes beyond just promoting the event because she is an alumna of the university and a senior figure in modern Korean cinema.
Park's agency, The Present Company, said in a statement reported by Naver that she would take part in festival activities to encourage young creators who are getting ready to enter an industry that is changing quickly. The agency stressed that her participation is important because she has firsthand experience with the early stages of a filmmaking career.

Park graduated from the Korea National University of Arts' Department of Theater, and her unique performances have made her famous in Korea and around the world. Her filmography contains many well-known projects, including "The Priests," the award-winning film "Parasite," and the upcoming "Gyeongju Travelogue." Korean cinema's popularity has increased in the Global Community respect because of these projects.
The Korea National University of Arts is the only national arts university in the country. It offers classes in film, theater, music, dance, and fine arts. JTBC says that the school has produced many important people in film and TV, such as Lee Je-hoon, Park Jung-min, Byun Yo-han, and Kim Go-eun. Its yearly graduation film festival is the first place where the public can see student work and hear new creative voices.
The 71 films shown at this year's festival come from undergraduate and master's programs. They give audiences a chance to see the different styles and themes that are shaping the next generation of filmmakers. The people in charge say that Park's presence will help students get ready to show off their work by giving them motivation and comfort.
Park talked about how her education affected her by thinking back on her own life. A neutral introduction in a statement shared through festival materials said that she was remembering her time as a student. Then she said, "My time at Korea National University of Arts was the most important foundation that shaped who I am today," adding, "I want to contribute, even in a small way, to this film festival where juniors can freely tell their own stories."
The people in charge of the festival also talked about her part. In an official statement, they talked about how important her participation was and then said, "Actress Park So-dam's participation is in line with the value of 'the potential of young creators' that the film festival aims for," and added, "Not only will her influence as an actress, but as a senior artist, she will also serve as a role model for juniors with her sincerity and respect, which will deepen the meaning of this film festival."
Park is going to be in ads and go to the opening ceremony. The festival will take place at Megabox Guui East Pole in Seoul from February 19 to February 22.
