[Spoiler Alert] ‘Dr. Jin’ Reason for Song Seung Hun’s Travel to Chosun Dynasty Finally Revealed
The reason why Song Seung Hun has traveled to the Chosun Dynasty has finally been revealed. It is to save the life of his lover Park Min Young.
On July 28's episode of 'Dr. Jin', Jin Hyuk (Song Seung Hun) saves a child with the same last name Jin. By doing so, he suddenly feels that he is in a parallel universe.
Jin Hyuk meets the child with the same last name on this day. The child falls and gets hurt as he chases a paper airplane that Jin Hyuk gives him. Although Jin Hyuk is able to save him through an emergency operation, he experiences another headache and faints.
The child suddenly stops breathing. At this moment, Jin Hyuk is about to disappear, as viewers only see a faded trace of his body, when he sees himself in the future but with a different face.
The child begins breathing again as a result of Young Rae's CPR and Jin Hyuk has also returned to a stable condition. He begins, however, to question his connection to the child. Young Rae comments, "As the child was dying, you were also disappearing. Why?"
He feels that he has some sort of strong connection to the child. Perhaps, the child is an ancestor of his. He finally decides that if there really was a parallel universe, then the child must be his equal in that universe. He also learns that if one dies, then the parallel will also cease to exist.
As he realizes this, he also realizes that Young Rae and Mina must also be equals in these parallel universes. He asks, "If that's the case, I came here to save Mina?" He attempts to find Young Rae, but learns that she has been captured due to the Catholic persecution.
