Watch "Maleficent" full movie and you'll agree with Elle Fanning, who played the role of Princess Aurora, when she said that the film is not about a Disney Princess's romantic love with a guy or prince.

Unlike the Disney stories people grow up with, "Maleficent" is different. "It's more of a maternal love and a friendship love that wins out, over a romantic love with a guy. That was a nice take on it," she said in an interview.

The story of "Maleficent" focuses on the villain - a once pure-hearted fairy who took revenge from the man whom she thought offered her true love. She found out later that he used her to become the king. She places a curse on Princess Aurora - his daughter - and put her to sleep. Only true love can wake her up - which Maleficent believes to not exist.

The daughter of Angelina Jolie, who played the title role, was also included in the cast. Her name is Vivienne Jolie-Pitt and she played as the young Aurora. Age 5 and a half, she needed a bit of support on her first day of shoot.

"The first day was the day she had to catch the butterfly, and she just really didn't feel like doing it," shared Angelina in an interview with People.

Cheering then became a family effort.

"I, actually, was holding the pole with the ball on the end and bouncing up and down and dancing, trying to make her laugh and Daddy was on the edge of the cliff she had to jump off, making faces and all her brothers and sisters were egging her on. She eventually did it but she was taking her sweet time and not wanting to do it twice, certainly," she added.
