Nick Lachey glad he had no kids with Jessica Simpson!

People reported that the former "Newlyweds" star was happy he and ex-wife, Jessica, didn't have to do co-parenting after ending marriage.

Nick Lachey glad he had no kids with Jessica Simpson was revealed when the former 98 degrees singer appeared on Jenny McCarthy's "Dirty, Sexy, Funny" at Sirus XM.

Lachey said:

"In our situation, that was probably the best thing that could have ever happened, that we didn't have kids,"

"All things being equal, it was the best thing probably for both of us, that we went on with our lives." 

Nick Lachey's revelation-glad he had no kids with Jessica Simpson, comes in the midst of a blooming marriage to wife, Vanessa Lachey.

Nick's wife, Vanessa, is pregnant with the couple's daughter. They also have a 2-year old son, Camden.

On the other hand, Nick's famous ex, Jessica is married to husband, Eric Johnson. She and Eric are parents to daughter, Maxwell, aged 2 and son Ace Knute, 16 months of age.

Lachey set things straight on McCarthy's show regarding the status of his relationship with his ex-wife, as reported in People:

"I wouldn't say it's friends and I wouldn't say it's enemies,"

 "There's just no contact. We've both moved on with our lives, and I think we are very happy it went the way it went. It's not animosity, it's not friendship - it's just kind of nothing." 

Lachey went on to reveal.
