Aside from this director, something to look forward for this 80's action flick is the actor who will take Sean Connery's role, Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez. According to some movie sites, Tom Cruise has been eyed by Summit Entertainment to take the role of Sean.
Cruise's representative told The Wrap that "Highlander" reboot, "is one of many projects that come to him and he discusses." The rep also added that it is "far from talks and he is offered tons of projects."
"Highlander" follows the story of an immortal Scottish swordsman on a quest for revenge against The Kurgan, a barbarian who has chased him across time as they battle for an all-powerful Prize.
The original film was starred by Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod and his mentor named Juan Ramirez was played by Sean Connery.
According to the same publication, the role of Juan Ramirez in "Highlander" was also offered to "Green Lantern" actor Ryan Reynolds. However, he exited the film. Aside from that, Justin Lin was originally attached to direct in September 2009. But on August 2011, he exited the project to focus on "Fast and Furious 6."
