LG G3 users in Korea are lucky because their devices will be receiving the much-awaited Android L release date or update this week. But users from other parts of the world should not be bothered as upgrade can also happen soon.

According to Tech Radar, Android 5.0 Lollipop primarily improves the performance of LG G3. LG G2 users may also get an update but it may be not be soon.

Unfortunately for HTC One M7 and HTC One M8 Google Play Editions owners who were supposed to receive Android L release date or update this week, they may have to wait longer than expected. Mo Versi, the HTC Vice President for Product Management tweeted about the delay. International Business Times reported that, "Google seems to have requested a new software version for the devices and HTC is waiting for the approval".

The last time Sony Mobile announced about Android 5.0 upgrade to its Sony Xperia Z Series phones was last month. It mentioned that Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR, Xperia Tablet Z, Xperia Z1, Xperia Z1S, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3v, Xperia Z3 Compact, and Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact will receive the Android L release date or update early 2015. There's no new announcement after that.

It's a different thing with Samsung. The company is not making any official or specific statement about the Android 5.0 release date or update in their handsets. Galaxy s5, s4, and Note 4 owners, in particular, are waiting for clear-cut news. Only Sam Mobile seems to provide users with recent developments.

In its website, it continuously gives exclusive previews of the test builds of Android 5.0 on Samsung phones. In its latest build test with Galaxy s5, it noted the better performance of the handset running in Android Lollipop.
