Kang Ji Hwan has gotten into another conflict with his management company.

On October 23rd, it was revealed that Kang Ji Hwan has requested to his management company (S-plus) that any further questions about his activities should be sent through his lawyer. Although his contract is still running it is decided he plans to leave the company.

S-plus has been going against this and saying it's a violation of his contract. S-plus has officially placed a request to the Korea Entertainment Management Association (KEMA) for their help in the conflict.

Kang Ji Hwan, in 2008, sent a request of dismissal of contract to his ex-management company Jambo Entertainment, and signed a contract with his current one.

KEMA had requested Kang Ji Hwan to refrain from activities until the conflict is solved. He however, declined, and continued his role in "Coffee House". KEMA then boycotted the drama. The cast of Coffee House was made of Core Content Media and non-KEMA actors.

However, he has been revealed to have suffered a number of incidents with his current management, such as his manager being assaulted by the ex-CEO of the company. Such as, the ex-CEO has assaulting his manager after an argument, supposedly believing that the manager was the main cause of the conflict between the company and Kang Ji Hwan.

KEMA has decided to call a hearing and hear the opinions of each side and will determine the sanctions after a committee. If the KEMA sides with Kang Ji Hwan, his future in the entertainment industry will not be affected seriously. However, if KEMA sides with S-plus, he may possibly face another halt of his activities in future.
