2014 was a great year for dramas. From the year's most critically acclaimed to the dramas with the best eye candy, there were dozens worth watching. But which 2014 dramas did best when it came to domestic ratings? Here's a list of the top-rated weekday, weekend and cable dramas that ended during the past year.

If you missed any of these dramas, you may want to catch a few episodes:

When it came to weekday dramas "You Who Came From The Stars" ranked first place. The drama starring Kim Soo Hyun and Jun Ji Hyun, averaged 24 percent with its highest rating scoring 28.1 percent. After that second place went to the historical drama "Empress Ki" starring Ha Ji Won, Ji Chang Wook and Joo Jin Mo. The 51-episode drama averaged 21.9 percent with the highest rating at 28.7 percent. In third place was "You're All Surrounded" starring Lee Seung Gi, Go Ara and Cha Seung Won. That police drama averaged 12.0 percent with its highest rating at 13.4 percent. Park Yoochun's political thriller "Three Days" was in fourth place with an 11.8 percent average. The highest episode earned 13.8 percent.

In fifth place was "Dr. Stranger," which starred Lee Jong Suk, Kang So Ra, Jin Se Yeon and Park Hae Jin. The drama averaged 11.7 percent and hit 14.0 for its highest rated episode. Sixth place went to "The Night Watchman" starring Jung Il Woo. The drama averaged 11 percent with the highest rating at 12.7 percent.

Seventh place went to "The Joseon Gunman," starring Lee Jun Ki and Nam Sang Mi. The historical drama averaged 10.7 percent in the ratings with the highest rated episode earning 12.8 percent.

"Inspiring Generation," starring Kim Hyun Joong as a tough street fighter, earned eighth place with an average of 10.2 percent. The highest rated episode earned 12.6 percent of the viewers. Ninth place went to "It's Okay, It's Love," starring Jo In Sung and Gong Hyo Jin. The drama averaged 10 percent with its highest rated episode earning 12.9 percent.

"Fated To Love You," which starred Jang Nara and Jang Hyuk" achieved tenth place with ratings of 9.8 percent and its highest rated episode at 11.5.

These dramas were followed by "Big Man," which averaged 9.3 percent. "Spring Day" and One Warm Word" were tied at twelfth place with 9.2 percent, while "Angel Eyes" averaged 9.1 percent.

Weekend dramas tend to score higher in the ratings. The top-rated weekend dramas were "The Wang Family," which averaged 33 percent, "Wonderful Days," which averaged 24.5 and "Come Jang Bo Ri" which averaged 20.8 percent.

Cable dramas tend to score lower percentages in the ratings as fewer people watch them. However the undisputed winner in the cable drama ratings this year was "Misaeng," which averaged 5.38 percent. The workplace drama, which starred Im Si Wan, Kang So Ra and Kang Ha Neul, saw its highest rated episode come in at 8.24 percent.
