Singer Park Seo Jin opened up about the negative comments he has received following an 11-kilogram weight gain, during the June 6 broadcast of KBS 2TV's "Mr. House Husband 2."

According to OSEN, when asked by co-star Lee Yo Won why he allowed the weight gain, Park Seo Jin candidly replied, "I don't have a goal these days, so I think I've become lax."

Since gaining weight, Park said the tone of comments from viewers has shifted to a more critical nature. He read aloud some of the harsh remarks, including: "I won't watch 'Mr. House Husband' twice until Seo Jin's old face returns," "Now that he's gained weight, his face before plastic surgery shows," and "He used to be a 'handsome plastic surgery man,' but now he's just a 'plastic surgery man' because of the weight gain."

Another comment mocked him for "trembling whenever he plays the traditional drums."

Park expressed regret over the negativity, saying, "Fans had been cheering me on all this time, but hearing these cold comments made me feel very apologetic."

In response, Lee Yo Won suggested a positive approach: "Instead of reading comments, why don't you get up and at least hula hoop?"

Meanwhile, as per Star News, Park Seo-jin has once again secured the second spot in the Male Trot category of the Star Ranking, according to the latest voting results announced on June 4.

In the 251st Star Ranking Male Trot poll, conducted from May 28 at 3:01 p.m. to June 4 at 3 p.m., Park Seo-jin garnered 201,117 votes. The top position was claimed by Young-tak, who received 215,325 votes, while Lee Chan-won placed third with 33,744 votes.

Park Seo-jin recently demonstrated his multifaceted talents by taking on directing and hosting duties on the May 30 broadcast of KBS 2TV's Men Who Cook Season 2. He led the "Cooking 2 Days" segment and also served as a judge in a special trial regarding broadcaster Ji Sang-ryeol's eligibility for a fixed appearance, highlighting his expanding role in the entertainment industry.

Following Lee Chan-won in fourth and fifth place were Jang Min-ho with 28,113 votes and Im Young-woong with 13,217 votes, respectively.

Star Ranking is a fan-driven poll where supporters cast votes to determine the popularity of their favorite stars. Voters can receive certificates through mobile participation, and stars benefit from various perks based on their rankings.
