'Jealous' Singer Nick Jonas Gay Role In 'Kingdom' TV Series Not A Big Deal To His Girlfriend

It is not really a big deal to girlfriend of "Jealous" singer and actor Nick Jonas that he plays a gay role in the TV series "Kingdom." 

Based on Just Jared Issue, Nick told the Kode mag, "Luckily, she knows what it's like to work on projects where you're putting yourself out there to the public. It may seem like something that would make people uncomfortable, but I'm very lucky to have a girlfriend who understands."

The actor/singer also also talked about his career evolution to the magazine. He said,  "Right now, I'm living in this moment and loving all the great things that are coming my way. I've worked with some amazing people and had the opportunity to explore both music and acting. In the future I just want to continue to pursue the things that excite me and that I'm passionate about."

Buzzfeed dropped a bomb about the Nick Jonas role in "Kingdom" TV series. They confirmed that he plays the role of gay son and fighter. "Kingdom" actor told Buzzfeed phone interview, "Byron [Balasco, Kingdom creator] told me before shooting began. Everyone at Kingdom was really transparent about the character and some of the things the character would go through. And in my prep work, I wanted to be aware so I could properly tell this story."

"For me, it was important to maintain the stakes for Nate. He lives in a world of fear - fear of disappointing his father, both in the cage and outside of the cage - and he carries that pressure with him in so many ways. I think it's something a lot of people can relate to," the 22-year-old artist said.
