'Attack On Titan' Season 2 To Air In 2016?

The much-awaited "Attack On Titan" Season 2 may not appear until 2016. For AOT fans, waiting will be prolonged.

IDigital Times reported that after the launching of AOT movie in Japan, the cast and crew proceeded to discuss the release date of AOT Season 2.

In a panel discussion, the production revealed the voice actors for the Season 2, namely Yuki Kaji (Eren), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa), and Marina Inoue (Armin). The production also announced that the director is going to be Tetsuro Araki.

In the same event, they also said that "Attack on Titan" Season 2 will be released in 2016 while te second chapter of the manga version already started last October 2014.

Afterwards, the release date of the second anime compilation titled "Attack on Titan: Wings of Freedom" was announced and  it will be on June 27, 2015 in theaters in Japan. 

Previous reports about season two release date cited that the premiere will air on July 26, 2015. However, this news was confirmed a hoax as Wit Studios revealed that "Attack on Titan" anime series production is currently on hold to give way for the completion of Volume 14 and Volume 15 of the AOT manga series, according to Christian Post.

Meanwhile, Universal Studios Japan has released a teaser for the upcoming "Attack on Titan: The Real Exhibit."
