‘Avengers: Age Of Ultron’ Trailer Revealed New Characters! Who Are The Two Mystery Women? Will Andy Serkis Play Ulysses Klaw?
Marvel fans got thrilled when they saw the new trailer for "The Avengers: Age of Ultron", which premiered during the first game of the College Football Playoff National Championship. Those who weren't able to catch the game got a chance to see the new footage via ESPN and YouTube.
We reported last time that Paul Bettany's character may finally make his debut in the new trailer. Unfortunately, we didn't get a glimpse of the Vision which disappointed some fans. However, Marvel teased the viewers by revealing three new characters.
The first one is Andy Serkis, who have confirmed that he will be appearing in the "Avengers 2." The actor is a performance-capture pioneer having portrayed characters like Gollum of "Lord of the Rings" trilogy and Caesar in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes".
In the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" new trailer, we finally saw the face of the actor and not a weird looking creature or ape. However, his character in the movie remains a mystery to everyone. There were rumors that he will be portraying Ulysses Klaw, a supervillain that was featured in the fourth series of "Black Panther."
According to We Got This Covered, there have been some hints in past Marvel movies that "Black Panther" will appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe soon. There were also scenes in "Avengers 2" that were shot in Africa, which could be the fictional place called Wakanda where the superhero lives.
Apart from Andy Serkis' appearance, two mystery women were also revealed in the new trailer. The first woman was seen inside the cave while the other one was seen behind Thor. According to Comic Book, the first character could be T'Challa's younger sister Shuri, who later on adopted the identity of the "Black Panther."
She could also be one of the personal bodyguards of the "Black Panther" called Dora Milaje. They are some of the best warriors in the Marvel Universe and they have even slain Doombots in the comics. Another mystery woman appeared behind Thor while he was being electrocuted. You can check out the photo here.
There were speculations that the woman is Claudia Kim, who was first spotted at the party scene of the first trailer. However, the Korean actress revealed during an interview that she will play Tony Stark's friend who is also a doctor/scientist. Maybe she also has an alter ego superhero character just like the rest of the Avengers.
