When Kim Young Kwang acted in the recent drama "Pinocchio," his character transformed from a mama's boy to a man who makes a noble and self-sacrificing gesture. He played a worthy adversary for Lee Jong Suk when he sought the affections of his fellow newscaster, played by Park Shin Hye.

Shortly before "Pinocchio" began filming Kim Young Kwang finished playing Kang Jin Gu in the comedy "Nine Plus Boys." Once a player, his character has a hard time convincing his office mate, played by Kyung Soo Jin, that he was really in love with her. The model-turned actor is obviously in demand.

"Pinocchio" had barely ended before Kim Young Kwang was already cast in his next role. This time he will join 2NE1's Sandara Park in a Korean-Chinese web drama titled "Dr. Mo Clinic." The drama begins filming early in February.

In "Dr. Mo Clinic" Kim will play a psychiatrist and hypnotherapist named Mo Yi An. His experiences with love were traumatic so treating painful love memories has become his specialty. He treats a woman named Lee So Dam, played by Sandara Park, and attempts to help her cope with her unfortunate love memories. In the process of treating her, he discovers that he may be able to heal himself.

Both characters gave up all for love but the relationships ended badly.

Sandara Park says she sees a lot of herself in the timid character of Lee So Dam.

"I think it's interesting that the character is so similar to me and although I'm nervous and feel pressured, I would like to work hard by concentrating," she said.

Sandara Park has primarily focused on her career with the popular girl group 2NE1 but she has appeared in a few dramas and films, including "The Return of Iljimae." Park has been seen on variety shows and played the girl Lee Min Ho pursues in an entertaining Cass Beer commercial that's almost a mini-drama.

She previously expressed an interest in acting in a romantic comedy.

Before "Nine Plus Boys" Kim Young Kwang had roles in "Worlds Within," "Triple," "More Charming By The Day" and "Drama Special - White Christmas."

"Dr. Mo Clinic" will be released in Korea through TV CAST, on Youku in China and in other countries. The drama will begin airing in March.

Kwon Hyuk Chan, whose directing credits include the hits "Secret Garden," A Gentleman's Dignity" and "The Master's Sun" will direct the web drama.
